Professor
Patrick Carr, qualified in nursing (both general and mental), is
also a lawyer, educator and researcher who has lectured widely and
published a number of standard works in the field of healthcare.
He was Head of Nursing Studies at Manchester Polytechnic from 1975
until 1986.
Professor
Carr was also Chief Executive of the Registered Nursing Home Association
(1986 - 1994), during which time he worked as a Parliamentary Lobbyist
on behalf of the Nursing Home sector, and in that capacity became
an Industry Spokesman of international standing, having also worked
together with owners/operators throughout Europe.
